MISSION & VISION STATEMENTs

Our 17-Word Mission: Creating Community in Christ. Because that’s what changes hearts. That’s what changes minds. That’s what changes lives.

  • Vision

In the beginning, we as a people were “naked and unashamed (Genesis 2:25)”, and not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well. We were timelessly intimate and interpersonally connected in perfect union with each other and with God. But when we sinned (Genesis 3:6), instead of running to God with our sin and shame, we hid from each other (Genesis 3:7) and from the Lord (Genesis 3:8,10). This is what inaugurated in humanity what psychology calls an ‘intimacy disorder’: a warped sense of what true intimacy is and a dysfunctional attachment in experiencing close relationships. Yes, sin caused an unhealthy nature, and that is to isolate, even alienate ourselves from one another and God.

But God had a plan to reconcile us back to himself and one another. God has done his part in reconciling man back unto himself in becoming a man, Jesus, and dying for our sins. Our vision is to do our part in repairing the intimacy disorder between God and man, and between man amongst ourselves. We teach men and women how to drop the 'fig leaves’ (Genesis 3:7) and come from behind the ‘trees’ (Genesis 3:8,10) that hide us from knowing God and each other intimately. We envision a world where we get back to being interpersonally connected mentally, spiritually and socially through taking our shameful secrets and sins and running to each other with them — running to God with them.
