CLIFFORD J. CLARK

Founder and Lead Pastor

Answering the charge of God at an early age, Clifford J. Clark, MSW, CSAT has been operating in his call to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 20 years. With a strong conviction of biblical literacy and handling Scripture with careful integrity, Clifford serves the body of Christ with a uniquely scrupulous teaching approach.

Born and raised on Detroit, Michigan’s northwest side, he earned his Master of Social Work degree from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a concentration of Interpersonal Practice – Mental Health and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Ministries from Point University in Atlanta, Georgia. As a retired licensed psychotherapist and founder of Transparent Professional Counseling, Clifford specializes in clinical marriage and relationship counseling and is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (I.I.T.A.P.). With seminary and clinical educational backgrounds, Clifford both counsels and ministers from a psycho-Christian intersection, reconciling the psychology of the Bible with the church and the psychological field with the truth and preeminence of God’s word. He serves as the founding and senior pastor of Church at The House in Detroit, Michigan and brings to the platform an eclectic, multicultural perspective, ministering the gospel internationally, in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Ghana, Libera, and across the North American continent. He is the proud father to one amazing daughter, Bina Clark.

    Secretary & Assistant Administrator

    Douglas serves as Church at The House’s Secretary and Assistant Administrator. He wears a myriad of hats including vision development and enhancement, audio/video technology, photography, graphics, logistics and hospitality. He is the father of two beautiful children, Noelle and Elliott.

    Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer

    Isaac serves as the Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer at Church at The House, managing all its financial affairs and playing multiple supplementary roles in assisting with logistics, hospitality and house hosting.

    Proudly serving as Church at The House’s Directors of Children & Youth, Paul and Carol Gilbert have been married for 5 years and have two wonderful children, Kenley & Paul IV.
